The timeline for students to submit applications for student leaders is now through January 29th. This program recognizes these students as exemplary young people who have an interest in improving their neighborhoods. In addition, each student will have an opportunity to attend a leadership seminar in Washington, D.C. In July of 2016 with other student leaders from throughout the country. To further their personal and educational growth, students will participate in an eight-week paid internship in the summer of 2016 with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence or the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket and be compensated accordingly. The program has had great success over the past few years in the Rhode Island community and all of the interns have enjoyed their experiences working with their nonprofits.
