Just play through Survival for a while and it shouldn't happen again after that. Dolphin's built-in netplay is far better in comparison, so long as your frame buffer settings are optimized for your latency.

The emulator doesn't use a 'rollback' system like GGPO. The frames are synchronized in real time, and inputs are delayed based on your settings. If the connection begins to degrade, the game's framerate will drop to compensate. Whoever has the lowest framerate determines the game speed.
