It's true that it doesn't really appear much but isn't it the same for other anime that aren't car-based like anohana. That Audi A4 only appears for a couple of frames and it looks as nice as it is. I guess Production I.G. Didn't really care for the small details when they were producing this anime. Sure, the robots and the futuristic android tablet phones are nice but they seriously couldn't think about at least evening out the lines a little bit?

Take a look at the rims. The spokes aren't even and the headlights. If they were going portray the vehicle at all, they should drawn it out. Maybe save some money and CG the car like the robots?
